Definitely weekend wear for the majority of us, what woman can live without her favourite jeans? Skinny jeans are number seven on my Top 10 List of Every Woman Essentials. Priced high to low, check out my choices for denim:

1. 7 For All Mankind High-Waist Straight Leg Jeans ($178, Neiman Marcus): These 7s may be high-waisted, but they wear like anything but mom jeans. In fact, 7 For All Mankind's interpretation of high-waisted is just right for me. I love the rich sateen wash of these classic five-pocket jeans. They're more skinny than straight with 13.75-inch leg openings, but regardless, these 7 jeans fit to figure-flattering perfection. (Pretty sure the secret's in the back pockets.)
2. J.Crew Ankle Stretch Toothpick Jean, Twilight Wash (on sale $98, J.Crew): Smart jeans for the Every Woman. Made from 'bi-stretch', a rubber-band like fiber that allows stretch in length and width, these J.Crew toothpick jeans are ultra-slimming. These are my go-to jeans. I love that even J.Crew's skinniest fit has a little bit of give. 5 pocket-styling with the perfect inseam for my height, you can't get a more classic pair of jeans than this.
3. Forever Skinny Jeans, Saturated Dark Wash ($69.50, GAP): On average, customers give these GAP jeans a 4.5 star rating, and it's no wonder. A newer, slimmer silhouette for GAP, the forever skinny jeans have a visually elongating effect which you and and your legs will appreciate. The pockets create an instant 'lift' effect for your rear, and the mid-rise is flattering for wider hips.
