Sometimes the first time's a charm.
That's exactly what I thought whilst perusing Mulberry's pre-fall 2011 collection (their first ever). Filled with Fall-friendly colours like bird's nest and conker (points if you can figure out which hues they are), the mostly neutral palette for Mulberry's pre-fall collection is set off by rich citron greens and mustard-y golds, as well as some bold bursts of black. There's a black-based Fall floral, knife pleats, large sequins, some checks and tweed, and even eyelet details on scalloped hems. The collection is a balance of school-girl sweet and grown up elegance. On the day coats, I'm especially drawn to the over-sized buttons. On the bags, it's the push-lock closures in gold that have me wish-listing that Bayswater bag.
And what do I love most of all?
Check the absolutely adorable schnauzer modeling Mulberry's dog coat offerings for the season. I've a feeling little Dickens is going to be spoiled this Fall!
