Style - Dare to Compare

It's that time of year again, when the dawn of autumn is slowly ascending over the horizon, and naturally any fashion-minded individual — or the every girl, really — is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her favourite fashion glossy(ies). It doesn't matter which issue you pick up, September is the month that glossies put their best Christian Louboutin-clad publishing foot forward.

So, in the spirit of sartorial splendidness, let's have a peak at Canada's own FASHION Magazine cover featuring one-half of the world's most popular — and easily the most stylish — set of twins, Ashley Olsen. The Olsen with probably the most 'traditional' taste, Ashley's unmistakable doe eyes are highlighted with heavy charcoal liner. She styles some chunky bracelets, an over-the-shoulder chain necklace, and statement ring.

On the other costume-jeweled hand, we've got Mary-Kate Olsen posing pretty on three unique Marie Claire covers. The star of Marie Claire's 'Fall Fashion Issue', MK looks luxe posing in a military-inspired, brass-button army green jacket, a vintage chic turquoise and gold sequined dress (and matching rings), and a feathery Mongolian lambs-wool jacket (Alexander Wang or The Row, perhaps?) and lace. While her makeup's not near as dramatic or dark as sister Ashley's, Mary-Kate looks glamourous in each shot.
