Chloe canvas and leather sandals

For the record: I'm all about safari style for the city girl. I absolutely ADORE chinos (even if people think they're more geek than chic).

But admittedly, these Chloé sandals have me confused. Usually Creative Director Hannah MacGibbon designs some great and girly things for the label, but these canvas and leather, "safari for the city girl" shoes strike me bizarre.

Sure they're practical - with a 3-inch heel and extra ankle support - but are they beautiful?

Not a chance.

And I'm pretty sure Tensor^TM wrap sells for less than 700 dollars.

This is totally bizarre.

Victoria Beckham in flats - beautiful or bizarre?

No, it's not a unicorn.

It is Victoria Beckham. And she is wearing flats.

While most women consider ballerina flats a wardrobe staple, let's not forget that VB certainly does not fall into the 'most women' category. David's better-half usually flies with a little more drame - Chanel motorcycle gloves, Louboutins, sheathed in one of her own designs - but this, strutting through Heathrow in her signature sunnies, a navy shift, black tights, and flats?

Shocking, really.

Is it beautiful to see a woman who swears by her sky-high heels wearing super cute flats? Or is it bizarre that we're even talking about this like it's newsworthy?

Australia Luxe Collective boots

I'm all about thigh-high boots, whether suede or leather, preferably finished with a flat heel and worn over skinny jeans.

I'm also all about my Uggs, whether short or tall, preferably worn over my bare feet while walking through the snow.

Combine the two, and this is what I picture: Australia Luxe Collective's slouch thigh-high boots.

Sheepskin with a leather upper panel, these boots are Uggs on steroids. Seriously. I can't stop staring. And I'm pretty sure it's not because they're beautiful. But still, I'm confident I'd wear these boots almost all winter long.

So what say you? Are these Australia Luxe Collective boots beautiful or bizarre?

Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski-embellished sandals

I'm all about bold statements, fierce footwear, and styling something seriously chic for New Year's Eve, but these Giuseppe Zanotti Swarovski-embellished sandals?

Sure they sound good on paper - black sleek satin with creative cut-out details, embellished with Swarovski crystals, and set off by stick-thin 4.5-inch heels -

but I'm wondering if in real life they're too much. Even toned down with a classy LBD, these are some pretty dramatic shoes.
