The first steps of my much-anticipated bedroom makeover are underway. In the midst of taking measurements, choosing colours, and deciding on furniture placement, I'm also focusing on another important aspect: Choosing some key, new pieces of furniture that will work to be both visually appealing and practical. At the moment, I've got my eyes on two chaise lounges.
- Velvet Chaise Lounge in Lagoon (L): I'm absolutely head over sky-high heels for the blue hue of this velvet lounge by Skyline. It's designer name is 'lagoon', and I think the muted, cool colour would add some serious style to my bedroom. Definitely traditional in shape, this chaise lounge is velvet, with some fabulous detailed hardwood legs. The fabric is tufted, and the lounge has even arms on either end. $699, Home Depot.
- Swag Velvet Chaise in Charcoal (R): Is there anything from Horchow that I don't love? This velvet-covered chaise offers simple but sophisticated lines that make a more contemporary shape. The charcoal colour is deeper than anything other neutral on my colourboard thus far, and I think it would add appropriate depth to my room. Upholstered in Duxbury charcoal polyester velvet, this chaise lounge is luxurious. $1299 + Shipping, Horchow.
Well, dear readers, what's your take? Sure one of these chaise lounges is a save, and one is a splurge, but I'm genuinely interested in your opinion. Would you opt to buy the Skyline or Horchow chaise? Vote now in the poll on the right side of your screen!
