Fashion - Women > Trend-Spotting

With a palette of rich brown, deep camel, muted grey, and hunter green, Massimiliano Giornetti successfully pays homage to the autumn season with his first collection for Salvatore Ferragamo's womenswear line.
The collection is a departure from what we're used to seeing from Cristina Ortiz, but Giometti impresses with his seventies-heavy interpretation of what's hot for fall. No doubt influenced by his designs for the fashion house's menswear line, designs included three-piece pinstripe suits, long suede trench coats, and a unique pleated black leather skirt.
But my favourite trend from Ferragamo's fall 2010 collection?
Shorts suits!!
I can't really explain the attraction; past September I don't wear shorts, and ne'er before have I styled them for business apparel. And yet, one look at Keke Lindgard strutting down the runway in a menswear check shorts suit and I'm sold. Suddenly I can picture myself, fedora on head, channeling Gretta Garbo or Katherine Hepburn in high-waisted cuffed shorts and a silk blouse.
Et tu?
