Pour La Victoire Over the Knee Boots

Pour La Victoire OTK Boots

Anything but basic black, I love these over the knee boots by Pour La Victoire. Especially in January when winter weather is so unpredictable, these boots are a fantastic alternative to sky-high heels - and more practical, too! Why, you ask?

1. The 1-inch covered wedge heels will give you added height, without the fear of slipping and falling on slushy or snowy sidewalks.

2. The grained leather wipes clean easily, so you're safe from ghastly salt stains.

3. Measuring in at 21-inches tall, this OTK boot wears perfectly over tights and skinny jeans, and will give you some extra warmth on windy days.

Pour La Victoire shoes and boots are designed by David Giordano and Jay Adoni. They launched their creative designs in 2007 as "footwear for the 21st century Marie Antoinette". I'd like to think they've evolved since then, but their line definitely features rich materials, timeless designs, and some fantastic colors.

Christian Louboutin Bianca Slingback Platform Pumps

It's no secret that color-blocking is going to be huge for Spring/Summer 2010, so why not get a jump-start on a hot trend?

Check Christian Louboutin's bianca slingback platform pump. Available in black or nude, complemented with lemon-y yellow, coral, and a brilliant lilac, these pumps will make any outfit pop.

Classic Louboutin, these shoes feature an elasticized slingback heel and comfortable almond toe, and Louboutin's signature red leather sole. They're made in Italy, so the quality is there.

Heel measures 5 and a half inches, with a 3/4 inch platform at front.

Giuseppe Zanotti Leopard-Print Leather Pumps

Giuseppe Zanotti Leopard-Print Pumps

Equal parts sweet and sophisticated, these Giuseppe Zanotti leather pumps are the fifth gift on my Christmas wish list this year.

I'm absolutely loving the combination of white-stamped leather in a bold leopard-print, wrapped around a ruby red platform. And if that wasn't enough to catch my eye, these Giuseppe Zanotti jewels are finished off with an iridescent glitter finish.

The heel's not too high, either, making these babies practical for work and play (they measure in at 3 inches).

While these Giuseppe Zanotti pumps would pair perfect with an LBD, I'd venture to say they'd look fantastic with any color.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Patent Fatale Pumps

YSL Fatale pumps

Really, was there anything the man could not do?

Loving the late designer's 'Fatale' bow open toe pumps.

Just look at that glossy patent leather - three glorious words when put together - and luxe lizard print leather platform. Set off by a 4-and-a-half-inch stiletto heel, and juxtaposed with a sweet satin ankle strap, you've got a shoe that's sure to catch eyes.

Gorgeous.

Yves Saint Laurent was a man who understood the importance of mixing textures, and who had that je ne sais quoi when it comes to women's style.
