I’ve been wearing tights since the age of four, and even though that was for ballet class, they grew on me. It helps that for the past three seasons tights have been so in vogue, but even if they weren’t, I’d still be dedicated to my 20-something pairs of black leggings.

I love the simplicity and stark contrast of black and white as shown here in Etro’s S/S 2007 collection.

From the 3/4-sleeve box-style jacket to the basic-but-bold black tights, this outfit serves as an updated medium between classic Jackie-O and mod maven.

Guess created the Daredevil jean in an easy bootcut; jeans that are not the super-skinny or waaay-wide styles prominent on runways today. Does this mean that by wearing a pair around town you’ll be “out of style”? Most definitely NOT. In fact, you’ll be more in style than ever before by staying true to you.

Also, take a moment for Anna Nicole Smith — easily the most recognizable (and missed) face of Guess — and remember how precious life really is.

Always a fan of Audrey Hepburn — the original traditionalist, not today’s ridiculous wannabes — I couldn’t help but think how these cropped and cuffed pants could help get me in the mood for Spring.

From fabulous Fendi, they could never be wrong. And with a banded waist to complement any figure, they’re a sure fit.

Take note, ladies who like to play it safe in the fashion playground: The cuff can be folded down for a flowing, neat black line.
