Inspired by my sweet niece Ave - who's quite the fashionista at only 15 months old! - I'm absolutely loving unique accoutrements for Spring 2010.
What's especially caught my eye are flower hair clips. While I prefer them in the hairband variety (my hair is fine but full), there are several clip-in and comb versions available (they're most compatible with thick or naturally wavy hair). I'm loving this style from Flower Clip designer Lauren Lee.
A 4.5-inch large mauve-coloured flower, hand-stitched onto an elasticized band, this piece is a stand-out. Super feminine, it would look sixties sweet worn over wavy or soft curls. For more of a sophisticated look, I'd side-part straight hair and tie it in a low chignon at the base of the skull. A flower band is the perfect accessory to top off this smooth style.
