J.Crew Paisley Necklace

Written by H on .

J.Crew Paisley Necklace

Pendants are still fair game for fresh style this summer, but I am loving large, borderline gaudy baubles in bright colours.

My favourites I’ve found so far are available at J.Crew — no surprise there!

Check out this beaded paisley necklace. Designed in the most vibrant blue, these resin beads are hand knotted on a sturdy cotton thread, and fastened together with an 18k gold-plated lobster clasp.

Hanging at a perfect 28-inch length, this necklace is a classic piece you’ll wear for seasons to come.

And don’t think the brilliant blue bead colour limits your wardrobe options: Experiment mixing your bright colours. Pair this beaded necklace with a lime green cardi and khaki shorts; or wear it with a red t-shirt and white A-line skirt. You’ll look completely chic.

Kenneth Jay Lane Weave Cuff Bracelet

Written by H on .

Just like wicker and rattan, — two staples of spring and summer, — this weave cuff is absolutely appropriate for ringing in the new season.

Kenneth Jay Lane is known for his simple but innovative jewelry designs, and this cuff is no exception.

22k electroplated gold, this Kenneth Jay Lane cuff is nickel-free (read: if the plating fades, the cuff won’t green your skin) and wears almost 2 inches thick. The basket weave design looks regal blended with banded edges.

But small wrists, beware: Kenneth Jay Lane’s weave cuff has an inner circumference of 5 1/4 inches, making for a loose fit.

But what about viewing Valentine’s day with an open heart?

This Elsa Peretti® iconic charm is 18k rose gold that’s curved and fired to shape a soft heart. This charm is sold alone, meant for you to companion with your favourite necklace or bracelet, and for you to keep in mind that you can’t let love in if your heart is closed.

Pianegonda Lovesick Heart Wraparound Ring

Written by H on .

Wraparound ring

There are times when paying $240 for a precious metal seems like a pretty good deal, but –

This is not one of them.

Pianegonda makes fancy jewelry, designed different to catch people’s eyes and capture their hearts.

And capturing hearts is probably what designers had in mind when they created the Lovesick Heart wraparound ring: All rhodium-plated sterling silver wrapped thick-and-thin around your finger.

But when you think about it, who wants to get gifted on Valentine’s day with a ring called Lovesick, and who wants to wear something that’s just coated on the outside, but not authentic on the inside?
