Anya Hindmarch Hobo Bag

Fashion - Women > Handbags

Anya Hindmarch hobo

No wonder Anya Hindmarch has been honoured for the past two years as Accessory Designer of the Year at the Glamour Awards: She’s got such a unique design sense! I’ve yet to meet someone who wouldn’t carry her namesake designs.

I’m loving her series of mirrored shoulderbags for this season, especially this smooth calf leather boho-esque creation. Designed in a cool grey tone — such a versatile shade for this summer! — this bag is the epitome of sleek. My favourite detail is the mirrored leather bottom, which gives the bag serious metallic merit.

I’d even carry this bag while wearing yellow or rose gold jewelry — the contrast in metals would be fantastic.

Loeffler Randall Snake Clutch

Again with my Loeffler Randall phase.

Note how this clutch unfolds — courtesy a magnetic flap – to reveal a zipped pocket, and some seriously shiny snakeskin. Though this small bag is embellished with Marc Jacobs-esque gold metal studs, I still adore it.

Forget layering on oodles of accessories; this snakeskin envelope clutch is the only accoutrement you need to make a chic statement.

Marni Square Clutch

Marni clutch

The envelope clutch is sweet, and a super stylish carrying choice for Spring 08, but I’ve already got my eye on a little something for next fall: Marni’s patent envelope tote.

Talk about a carry-all! The latest tote from Marni has it all: Deep cognac leather in glossy patent, an unusual contrasting plastic and leather handle (kind of reminds me of Fendi), and lots of interior space to hold all your essentials.

Marni’s envelope tote is designed to look like an oversized clutch. The handle and closure clasp give this Marni bag a geometric feel, the envelope folds accentuate the bag’s luxurious leather, and I don’t know how many ways I can express my love for that rich cognac colour! Très chic!

Tod's Messenger

Tod's Tote

If I had only one way to spend 2000 dollars for Spring/Summer 08, it would be buying this beautiful Goa messenger bag by Tod’s. Large and in charge — it measures almost 22 inches in length, and 12 inches in height — Tod’s makes a magnificent carry-all.

Smooth grained leather set off by double layer leather shoulder straps and gold hardware, this messenger bag is the perfect accoutrement for spring’s flowing tops, short-shorts, and high-waisted pants. I especially love how the ruching details – flowing so luxuriously into gathered folds on the back of the bag — accentuate the soft leather. The Goa messenger bag comes in snakeskin or calf leather — both varieties beg to be carried!

Also available in coffee or pale ink (pictured here in stucco), this carry-all is perhaps the most perfect investment piece I’ve found for this season that I’d carry for years to come.

Celestina Pacquaio Clutch

Celestina Clutch

If you asked me whether I’m a diamonds or pearls girl – today I’d say pearls, hands down.

And hands held on this gorgeous Celestina Pacquiao clutch.

Small in size but voluminous in value, this Celestina clutch is made from pure mother-of-pearl, straight from the Philippines. Add to that a 14k gold frame, — yes, it’s genuine through-and-through! — two amethyst stones bowed into a coloured clasp, and a loose interior wooden framed mirror, –

You’ve got a unique investment piece that you’ll carry for years to come and a clutch that will carry its worth — and all your evening essentials.
