Save the colour, don’t these two cardis look similar? You’ve got to love Victoria’s Secret for their spot-on style. What their products lack in quality, they make up for with bargain pricing. On the opposing side, Theory makes a high-quality garment, but — like anything in life, — quality will cost you.
What I love about this Theory […]

I’m all about classic styles coming back as chic, but Marc Jacobs has taken it too far, –
Check out his Great-Aunt-Grandmother-bed-dress-inspired sheath.
The fact that it’s Italian silk is appealing, but super soft silk is trumped by an awful orchid print. Pair that pattern with a style that’s better suited for senior citizens, and you’ve got 995 dollars worth of ugly.
So I’m […]

To dress daringly — be it baring your décolletage in a low-neckline, or showing your gams in a minute mini — is dramatic, but to make it exotic, try throwing in a little print (animal, that is.)
I’m thinking a leopard-print coat by Dior that’s more fresh than spring flowers, and French Sole ballet shoes that […]

Take a close look at this mini dress: Looks luxurious, right? And this dress looks like silk in its entirety, but it’s not. Only the ruffles of this darling Ports 1961 mini dress are silk; the body of the dress is actually made from pure cotton.
Though I’m not a big fan of one-shouldered sheaths, this dress has […]

Leather, especially patent, adds an element of excitement to a bag that I love. Patent leather can be flashy, and its sheen is eye-catching. But with a plethera of patent leather bags making the rounds this season on department store shelves everywhere, I’ve an eye for something more elegant, like ostrich.
Available at Saks, Nuti’s ostrich tote is […]

More than I’d enjoy wearing Gucci’s “Newton” high heel booties, I like looking at them. Am I the only person who thinks they look like a piece of art, or something from the page-a-day shoe calendar?
Just look at that sleek patent black leather, joined so beautifully with a glossy gold (gooold!) back. Featuring a 4 […]

J’Adore Dior: Fresh from my main man Dior’s spring footwear collection, these t-strap sandals are the perfect shoes for skipping into spring and summer. Like a piece of beautiful artwork, Dior’s t-strap sandals are easy to look at and full of intricate details. Made in Italy from crocodile-embossed leather, these sandals have plenty of hardware; […]

Blame it on the January thaw, but I am loving all things yellow. Could I be craving spring weather to slip into some of these vibrantly coloured clothes?
Obviously.
While lemon yellow doesn’t suit fair-skinned women, and butter yellow doesn’t wear well on raven-haired women, I’m convinced there is a shade of this sunshine-inspired colour out there […]

Just like the tailored white shirt, pearls — of any variety — are classic.
Whether modernized in a disc shape, or married in design to diamonds, pearls are an essential part of every woman’s wardrobe; pearls are an essential element to effortless elegance.

Picture this: Links of cognac-coloured mink and python, stripped together almost seamlessly to form a classic clutch.
The Marc Jacobs ‘Monica’ clutch is constructed to have a vintage effect. Like most of his handbags, MJ’s clutch is timeless (look at the detailed dual leather buckles and the flap turn-lock closure). I love how Marc Jacobs takes such simple ideas […]

Fresh from his spring collection, Christian Louboutin contrasts hot pink with his signature red soles and readies women for warmer temperatures with patent leather strapped and standing on a four-inch heel.
Though January’s not exactly a practical time for open toes, these sandals beg to be worn now. Especially with the mercury dropping, I can think of nothing hotter than hot […]

A timepiece made by Cartier is classic.
I especially love the easy-to-read Roman numerals, the over-sized round face, and the date display.
Add to Cartier’s signature design the versatility of metal and 18k yellow gold, and you’ve got a watch that costs as much as a small car, –
Like every quality piece of jewellery should.
Cartier large ballon […]

I’m trying to decide which animal I’d like to wear more: Fox or mink (in the form of a fur coat, of course.)
I came across this adorable fox and chiffon coat, discounted at Saks, featuring rows of said materials. I’m especially loving the jeweled neck and sweet short sleeves. Talk about attention to detail — this is […]

Finding anything Etro for less than $100, in my opinion, is both a rarity and a deal (not to mention a perfect companion for your winter coat). Don’t believe me? Read on.
1. Etro’s Italian quality workmanship is top-notch. A scarf by Etro is a scarf you’ll own and want to wear for years to come.
2. An Etro scarf styling is […]

Ever since I started wearing my Marc Jacobs Collection glasses, I’ve developed an eagle eye for both his lines: Marc Jacobs Collection, and Marc by Marc Jacobs.
Said designer is a genius, like my fav femme fatale Betsey Johnson, only Marc is male and he works his designs around a more classic construction.
These are just a few of my […]
