It’s April Fools Day, darlings, but there’s no fooling around here: Cut-out spectator pumps are spot-on style for this spring and summer.
We’ve seen the spectator evolve from closed to peep-toe, from soft-grained leather to shiny patent, –
And cut-outs are the latest twist.
I’m loving several styles by Linea Paolo, available in fresh colours like lilac and mustard. I’ve also got my eye on Gwen Stefani’s luxe L.A.M.B. pumps (check out that perforated patent leather!)
Like most oxford styles, these pumps wear well with wide-leg trousers. I can picture them heating up a cool pair of linen pants once the weather warms. They’d also look super sweet with an A-line skirt or cocktail shorts.

Count me out–I’m a firm believer that the only shoes that should have laces are those of the tennis shoe persuasion. I’m also not a fan of heeled oxfords.
