Ports 1961 | Silk Ruffled Mini Dress

Take a close look at this mini dress: Looks luxurious, right? And this dress looks like silk in its entirety, but it’s not. Only the ruffles of this darling Ports 1961 mini dress are silk; the body of the dress is actually made from pure cotton.
Though I’m not a big fan of one-shouldered sheaths, this dress has some serious avant-garde appeal. Note how the ruffles are completely asymmetrical; I love the uneven cinching and unique length of each ruffle. Coupled with a beautiful bare shoulder, this dress is surprisingly well-balanced.
The skirt of this Ports 1961 dress is straight, and its hemline hits above the knee — a perfect length for any season. The dress slips on easily with the help of a convenient, concealed side zipper. It is lined in silk, so when paired with opaque tights the cotton won’t cause static or stick.
Because it’s one-shouldered and features a wealth of ruffles, I’d forego wearing a necklace of any kind with this frock. Instead, I’d accessorize with some equally dramatic earrings, a diamond-encrusted cuff, and some stellar sky-high heels.
