There are times when paying $240 for a precious metal seems like a pretty good deal, but –
This is not one of them.
Pianegonda makes fancy jewelry, designed different to catch people’s eyes and capture their hearts.
And capturing hearts is probably what designers had in mind when they created the Lovesick Heart wraparound ring: All rhodium-plated sterling silver wrapped thick-and-thin around your finger.
But when you think about it, who wants to get gifted on Valentine’s day with a ring called Lovesick, and who wants to wear something that’s just coated on the outside, but not authentic on the inside?

I love the design of it, too, which is surprising because I typically don’t like designs that involve hearts. My only qualm is that it’s not pure rhodium.
