Fur Coats
I’m trying to decide which animal I’d like to wear more: Fox or mink (in the form of a fur coat, of course.)

I came across this adorable fox and chiffon coat, discounted at Saks, featuring rows of said materials. I’m especially loving the jeweled neck and sweet short sleeves. Talk about attention to detail — this is a completely updated take on a classic. Think the stylish soap Dynasty without the overbearing length and strong shoulder pads.
On the other hand, this mink coat is attractive because of its easy swing style and peter pan collar. I also favour the deep chocolate brown colour — so dark it could be worn with browns and blacks. And if that’s not enough versatility, the coat is reversible to a brown taffeta acetate.
So do tell: Which fur do you think is more fabulous?

Go mink! That one is hot and looks more classic.
i love the mink one! not too keen on the ‘printing’ on the other…the whole stripe look…but i love the mink!
I love the fox!!!!
And as for wearing fur - I said FU to all the PETA freaks =)
There’s nothing quite like mink. The swing coat is a fine homage to the classic styles of the 40s and 50s… of course, if you favor this style you might do well to look into a vintage coat - at a Fraction of the cost. I recently added to my collection a vintage, pastel mink coat for just under $100 - oh so Little Edie! Most people who own mink coats take very good care of them so a high quality vintage fur can continue to provide many decades of wonderful wear and with such a modest initial investment it is easy to justify alterations (shiring, dying, tailoring, etc) to customize.
When choosing a fur I’d go with the style that’s closest to classic and offers the most versatility. It costs more but I’d choose the mink. I also agree with Karina re: the PETA cultists.
